About:

The Friends of the Chelsea District Library have been in existence since 1949, and in that time they have raised thousands for the library and its programs. Many friends also donate their time and energies serving on the organization’s board, attending community events and in the planning and assisting with many fundraising efforts, including the used book sales.

The Friends have a variety of membership levels to choose from including $10 student/senior, $25 friend and family, $50 best friend, $100 supporting, $250 corporate/business sponsor, $500 patron, $1,000 sustaining member. If you're interested in becoming a Friend please click here, fill out the brochure, and turn it in to the library. Alternatively, pick up a Friends Bookmark from the library lobby or at the Used Book Sale. To contact us click here or email us at friends@chelseadistrictlibrary.org. As a small thank you, all new members will be given a free, eco-friendly Friends book bag, available from the Library's front desk during regular hours.
