About:
Founded in 1998, the Friends of Lilly Library is a charitable corporation organized to promote the objectives and interests of Lilly Library. The Friends work to help the library serve all patrons, so that the public may make full use of the library’s services and facilities, and so that the public may have a better understanding of the needs of the library.
Through annual membership dues and fundraisers, the Friends provide funds for the Children’s summer reading programs, museum passes, magazine and periodical subscriptions, maintaining and improving computer availability and accessibility, and to purchase equipment such as copy machines and bookdrops. The circulation desk in the lobby and the bookcase that houses the collection of Alfred Lilly’s books were gifts from the Friends memberships.
