The Leslie T. H. Prescott Branch of the Evangeline Parish Library opened its doors in Pine Prairie on January 19, 2000. A branch operation had been in o

peration in Pine Prairie beginning June 1, 1990. The collection was originally housed in one of the classrooms adjacent to St. Peter's Church.

The Prescott Branch has 6 workstations with Internet access to the public, copy services, fax service, and a growing collection of books, audiotapes, videotapes, DVD's, and newspapers and magazines. Branch manager is Pamela Guillory. Angela Henry and Velma Davis assist as branch substitutes.
