History:

The library, originally founded in 1929 as the Stephenson library, moved into its present location in 1972 and was rededicated as El Camino Real library in 1975. The library is located on the historic El Camino Real.

Collection:

The collection contains over 57,000 books in English and Spanish, 3,400 audio recordings, 2,315 video recordings, 41 magazine and newspaper subscriptions as well as pamphlets.

Services:

Services available to customers are: public access Internet, Online Public Access catalogs, Homework Center, reference and Readers' Advisory service, children's programs, and a coin-operated typewriter and copier.

Facilities:

The building is approximately 3,000 square feet. There is no meeting room.
