About Us

The Branch is named for Miss Dorothy Inghram, local pioneer, educator, civic leader, community activist, volunteer, and author. Miss Inghram, at 100, is still a very active member of her church, community, and the Friends of the Inghram Library.

The Inghram Branch Library has a collection of approximately 15,000 titles, including a large number of books of interest to the Black community. The video collection has over 800 titles available for checkout, and the Branch also has books in Spanish for both adults and juveniles.

There are six public use computers, all with Internet access, word processing, and learning games for children. One computer has a "homework help" tutor program that is available during afternoon hours.
Dorothy Inghram Branch Library is not affiliated with AmericanTowns Media
