History
The Lincoln Branch of the Detroit Public Library was opened in its present location on October 29, 1951. It is named for the sixteenth President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln.

The library provides services for all ages, including books, magazines, audio cassettes and Internet access. Services include income tax forms January through April, student financial aid forms, computers for public use, a copy machine, an Arabic language collection of books and magazines for children and adults, and an African-American collection of books and magazines for children and adults.
