DeKalb Public Library is open to all and a library card is free to any taxpayer within the DeKalb city limits. The library houses fiction and non-fiction books in both the adult department and the children's department, as well as periodicals and reference resources. The reference areas are enhanced by electronic databases that are available at the library and for registered patrons from their home computers as well. In addition, access to the Internet is available at no cost to anyone who visits the library.
