Columbia City Community Library
The Columbia City Community Library is at the corner of "I" and Second Streets in Columbia City. The Community Library was established under a partnership between the Friends of the Columbia City Community Library, the City of Columbia City and the Columbia City Elementary School in July 2000, and it moved to it's current location at 205 "I" Street in September, 2005. It shares a space with the United Koffee Shoppe.
The Community Library is partly funded by proceeds from the City's Annual Celebration. The Friends of the Library also raise funds through various fund raisers to purchase books and supplies. Dedicated volunteers help staff the Library. Through donated books and contributions the library is expanding its collection and resources.
Because the Library is funded through donations, it is open to the public, with no boundaries or user fees.
Columbia City Community Library is not affiliated with AmericanTowns Media
