Mission:

The mission of Cheaha Regional Library, with the partnership of seven member libraries, is to provide patrons with the knowledge, skills, and qualities required to be successful in a diverse society. Our changing society and workplace demand citizens who can take responsibility for their own learning and well being. Educational reforms that can develop these citizens are dependant on the appropriate use of technology.

About Us:

The Cheaha Regional Library is a Multi-County Library System established to expand and enhance local library services. Cheaha Regional consists of seven small town libraries covering five counties. Being part of the Region ensures free access to services to all residents living in the area of the system.

The Cheaha Regional Library system has seven member libraries:

-Annie Awbrey Public

-Ashland City Public

-Cherokee County Public

-Earle A. Rainwater Memorial Library

-Lineville City Public

-Lincoln Public

-Lucile Morgan Public

History

The Cheaha Regional Library began on May 1, 1976 out of the Public Library of Anniston. We moved to our current location in 1989. The system covers Cleburne, Cherokee, Talladega, Clay and Randolph counties
