About Centerburg Public Library :
The Centerburg Public Library was founded in 1924 by Alpha Club, a ladies' literary society.
The library used local storefront space until it moved to the present location, 49 E. Main Street. in 1936. The Centerburg Public Library is an association library and has no taxing authority.
The library is staffed with a full-time director, a children's librarian, four clerks and a technical assistant.
The library serves three townships that comprise the Centerburg Local School District, a population estimated at 8,700. The library acts as the Local History Center in the collection of old pictures, books, school yearbooks, and items of interest concerning the Centerburg area and its ancestral history.
The library gladly accepts donations of local historical materials.
