Mission:

The Friends of the Castroville Public Library is formed exclusively for charitable, literary, and educational purposes as specified in Sec. 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended. These purposes are:

To cultivate and maintain membership of individuals and businesses supportive of the Castroville Public Library (hereinafter referred to as "the CPL");

To support and cooperate with the CPL in developing, maintaining, and enhancing facilities, resources, and services for the public;

To encourage gifts, endowments, memorials and bequests for the benefit of the CPL;

To focus public attention on the CPL in order to stimulate the use of its facilities, resources and services. 

Vision:

The Friends of the Castroville Public Library envision a thriving, sustainable library, accessible to all, and dedicated to preserving the past and discovering the future.  

About Us :

The Castroville Public Library began operation in 1963, and was the first public library in Medina County. The library is currently housed together with the Chamber of Commerce in a beautiful building on London Street. All the library facilities are available to persons of all ages and residents 10 years of age with proof of residency in the city of Castroville or the county of Medina are eligible for a library card at the Castroville Public Library. The library staff invites visitors to stop by and check out your public library!
