History:
Bridgeton Trails opened October 30, 1978 as the 13th branch of St. Louis County Library. It was among the eight branches built after voters approved a special building tax in 1973. Located next to DePaul Hospital, Bridgeton Trails serves the communities of Bridgeton, Maryland Heights, and the surrounding municipalities. In April 2011, the branch opened the Laura Bush Teen Center. The former First Lady attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and toured the new center with members of the Bridgeton Trails Teen Advisory Group.
