Mission:

To assist members of the community in educating themselves and enhancing their personal, business, and social well-being through the use of library resources and services.

About Us:

  • 47 public computers with Internet access and Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Publisher software including 5 PCs in the children's section for kids only.  One computer includes assistive technology for people with impaired vision. Document, microfilm and slide scanners are also available.
  • Two MakerBot Replicator2 3D printers with accompanying laptops, software, and materials. (Funding provided by the Friends of the Boise Public Library.)
  • Two laptops for checkout (in-library use)
  • A local history collection housed in the Library's Marge Ewing Idaho Room
  • A funding information collection featuring reference and circulating materials to assist nonprofit and community-based organizations. We are a Funding Information Network partner of the Foundation Center.
  • A Federal Depository collection featuring a variety of publications from the United States government
  • More than 300,000 items for public use
