Big Flats Library

Library service in Big Flats began with small “deposit” collections in local homes. Ten years of promotion by community organizations such as the Big Flats Women’s Club and the Big Flats Rotary led to the current library’s construction in 1968. The Big Flats Library total floor space is 3,450 square feet. A 1995 renovation introduced a new color scheme, carpeting, under carpet wiring, comfortable lounge furniture, and lower shelving to create a more spacious look. In 2000, category 5 wiring was added for expanded computer and Internet connections.
