Established on March 14, 1901, the Belfast Public Library strives to provide resources to meet the informational, cultural and literacy needs of the community.
1901: The library was first located at the Genesee Valley Seminary.
1910: Granted absolute Charter and relocated at 50 Main Street.
1915: Mr. Frank Bartlett erected the present library building.
1955: A new Absolute Charter was granted (school centralization).
1981: Certificate of Registration granted.
