About Us:
The Amador County Library is a service-oriented network of community libraries, a main library, and outreach services providing books, information and other resources for people of all ages in our diverse communities.
As a unique community resource freely available to all, our library responds to the public's need for information, education, and recreation. With books as its core, the library provides a wide range of materials, both print and non-print. We are the community's center for lifelong learning, supporting the needs of students from preschool through adulthood. By incorporating new developments in technology, the library and its skilled staff ensure the resources are accurate, timely, and responsive to individual and community needs.
The Amador County Main Branch Library is located at 530 Sutter Street in Jackson (between the True Value Hardware and the Jackson City Pool) with six participating branches in Amador City, Ione, Pine Grove, Pioneer, Plymouth, and Sutter Creek. Each are fully automated with electronic checkout systems and online public access catalogs.
