About the Library:

The Allegan Public Library is located on Hubbard Street in downtown Allegan. The library services the city of Allegan and the townships of Allegan, Valley, Trowbridge, Cheshire and Heath. We provide access to adult volumes, both fiction and nonfiction, periodicals, videos, cds, DVDs, Cd-Roms and books on tape, as well as an on-staff reference librarian to help research any subject for any age group in-house and through inter-library loans.

The library also has a children's area and a children's librarian who provides children's programming and cooperative resources with area schools.

The Allegan Public Library has internet stations available and a fully computerized card catalog system. Through the Internet, users have access to a variety of databases meeting informational needs in areas of health, law, government, the sciences, arts, education, and entertainment.

These resources are meant to entertain, inform, and educate all library patrons, though some restrictions apply to internet use.
