Green Branch Library is located in the southeast portion of Summit County in Town Park Center at 4046 Massillon Road (State Route 241), south of the Massillon Road exit from Interstate 77.
The original Green Branch Library first opened in April 1979. Prior to that time the Green area was served by the Akron-Summit County Public Library bookmobiles. The current branch, at 4046 Massillon Rd., was opened on August 2, 1999 & has been a busy and growing center for community activity ever since.
Current library statistics show that Green Branch has 12,545 registered borrowers, circulated 326,641 items in the year 2004, and provides a collection of 65,666 books and other materials.
We are open 6 days a week to meet your needs for education, information and recreation.
Our friendly, skilled staff includes a branch manager, who is also the adult services librarian and three children’s librarians: a job-share team serving primarily young children and their families (babies through grade 3), and one serving intermediate school age children and teens (grades 4-12). Public service assistants and student assistants round out the staff
