Adult Literacy Program - Kennett Library

The Adult Literacy Program provides free Adult Basic Education(ABE) and English as a Second Language(ESL) classes to adults residing in Kennett Square, West Grove, Avondale, Toughkenamon, Landenberg, and Oxford. The program is comprised of two components. ESL classes are provided during the day and evenings by qualified educators. Citizenship classes are also available.  All materials are provided at no cost to the students. Classes are open enrollment and run September-May. The second component, our tutoring program, is offered year round. Trained volunteer tutors work with one student  for 1-3 hours per week.
