Libraries use to be a respite of sorts where you could sit quietly reading a book or just passing the time. Not so much here. "Quiet" has been replaced by cell phones sounding off various ring tones, loud conversations -- just a lot going on.

Staff quick to offer help, and skilled in finding information. They were also quick to offer help to someone nearby who was trying to scan and email a document.

The Accokeek library has a modestly sized collection of books, but it is a great place to go and study or work. The building is well-lit, including a fair amount of natural light. There are plenty of computers available for patrons to use. The study room has 4 cubicles and and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out upon a lovely wooded area. The library as a whole is generally quiet. Staff have been helpful on the few occasions I've interacted with them.

A very new library, with simple, straightforward, useful and well-maintained facilities. The staff are always friendly; many events suitable for children. A clear focus on school age children and younger. It isn't a reference library; it is, however, a branch of the extensive PG county system with all the resources that affords.
